At Arne Nielsen A/S we have supplied Ferroli boilers and spare parts to installers for many years. Now we are expanding the range with Ferroli Giada – a series of wall-mounted split systems that cool in summer and heat the rest of the year. This gives our customers an air-to-air solution from the same Italian manufacturer they already know from the boiler room.
What is an air-to-air system?
A split system consists of an indoor unit on the wall and an outdoor unit outside, connected by refrigerant pipes. In winter the outdoor unit extracts energy from the outside air and releases it as heat indoors. In summer the process is reversed and the system cools. An air-to-air heat pump is therefore both an air conditioner and a heat source in one – and an obvious contribution to the green transition when it supplements or relieves an oil or gas boiler.
The Giada range at a glance
Giada is available as single split (one indoor unit to one outdoor unit) and as multi split, where one outdoor unit serves up to four indoor units in different rooms.
| Model | Type | Application |
|---|---|---|
| Giada 9 / 12 | Single split | Bedrooms, offices and smaller rooms |
| Giada 18 / 24 | Single split | Larger living rooms, shops and open spaces |
| Giada 18-2 | Multi split, 2 indoor units | Two rooms on one outdoor unit |
| Giada 21-3 / 27-3 | Multi split, 3 indoor units | Homes and holiday homes with several rooms |
| Giada 28-4 | Multi split, 4 indoor units | The whole home or small commercial premises |
What you get with Giada
- DC inverter: the compressor adjusts its speed to demand, so the system runs smoothly and economically instead of starting and stopping.
- Heating and cooling in one: one system for the whole year.
- R32 refrigerant: a more climate-friendly refrigerant than older types.
- Built-in Wi-Fi: control from your smartphone, so the house can be heated before you get home – or a holiday home kept frost-free remotely.
- Clean air: multi-stage filtration and ionisation.
- Quiet operation: a special silent mode for the bedroom.
As an example, the 3.5 kW model (Giada 12) is rated A++ for cooling and A+ for heating according to Ferroli's data. Full technical data for each model is available on request.
Where does Giada fit?
- Holiday homes and cabins, where the system keeps the house dry and frost-free and can be controlled remotely.
- Homes with an oil or gas boiler, where air-to-air covers much of the heating in spring and autumn and relieves the boiler.
- Offices, shops and workshops that need cooling in summer.
- Conservatories, annexes and extensions, where extending central heating does not pay off.
For the installer
Giada is a classic wall-mounted split system that is quick to install. Remember that installing and commissioning systems containing refrigerant requires the appropriate refrigerant certification. As always at Arne Nielsen A/S, you get expert advice on model selection and sizing.
