When the tent has to be warm — whatever the weather. An emergency tent, a field hospital, temporary accommodation: here, heat isn’t comfort, it’s a precondition. And it has to be delivered clean. That is exactly what Thermobile’s indirect oil-fired ITA series is built for.
Why “indirect” is the whole point
An ITA is indirectly fired: combustion is kept separate from the air blown into the space, and the flue gases are vented out through the chimney. The result is clean, dry warm air without smoke, odour or combustion products — the only right solution when people are inside a closed tent or room. (A direct-fired heater, by contrast, belongs only in well-ventilated spaces.)
Two workhorses
ITA-35 R is the compact, field-ready model, built for tents and emergency response:
- 24.8 kW and 1,500 m³/h of clean warm air
- Indirect and flue-connected — no combustion gases in the space
- Runs on diesel, HVO or kerosene
- Thermostat connection and a ventilation-only mode
- Compact and transportable; the RCS version stacks two to a Euro pallet
ITA-75 is the big brother for larger rooms and halls:
- 70 kW and 3,800 m³/h
- 120-litre tank and up to approx. 16 hours of operation between refills
- Heat exchanger with approx. 89% efficiency

- Events and temporary structures — marquees, pop-up halls
- Construction and renovation — drying and heating where smoke-free heat is a must
- Agriculture — gentle drying and frost protection
